FDA Investigates Video of Kellogg's Worker Peeing on Cereal

A criminal investigation conducted by the Food and Drug Administration is under way after a video surfaced showing a man urinating on one of Kellogg's factory assembly lines. The company said that they alerted authorities immediately after they found out about the video.

The video shows a man urinating on an assembly line, then panning to a sign with the Kellogg logo. Kellogg said its own investigation determined the video was recorded at its Memphis, Tennessee, factory in 2014. Kellogg is still working to identify the man in the video. The company said  any products that would have been affected would be past their expiration dates by now.

Comments from Allen:  Aren't you glad to know that if any of that adulterated cereal found its way into your house, you ate it a long time ago and did not die?  And don't be surprised if millions of people will forever identify the adulterated product as "Rice Kris-pees."

I am surprised that the man shown in the video was not readily identified.  Kelloggs's would certainly want to identify this man immediately, as would the FDA, and the local Tennessee prosecutors and possibly even the US attorneys in that area.  Battery, poisoning and malicious destruction of property come to mind as possible charges to be levied against the perps here.  Also, the person filming the event is just as liable as the one emptying his bladder; and because at least two people took part in these crimes, a conspiracy charge ("two or more persons agreeing to participate in an illegal event") would also be appropriate.

What is the motive here?  The deed was done right in the heat of labor negotiations between Kellogg's and its labor union.  The police will focus on labor union members who worked in the area of the Rice Krispie Treats, granola clusters and their rice cake products, where the event occurred.  The labor union angle might make this a hard crime to solve, as there may be many union members who know exactly who was behind this video, and they are not going to rat them out.

While the investigation continues, I am thankful for 2 things:
1.  I make my own Rice Krispie treats;
2.  I am not the guy who has to identify conspirator #1 by his exposed body part in the video.
